DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nConnected Resilience: Atlantic Adaptation Conference 2026\n\n\nMay 27\, 2026 – May 28\, 2026 \n\n\n\nHalifax Convention Centre\, 1650 Argyle St\, Halifax NS \nView Location\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin CLIMAtlantic for two days of connection and sharing to grow climate resilience in the Atlantic region. \nThis conference will bring together climate change adaptation practitioners\, knowledge holders\, community leaders\, policymakers\, engineers\, academics\, youth\, artists\, and more. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will explore the following themes throughout the conference: \n\n\n\n\n\nFrom response to readiness\nLetting nature lead\nAligning with social\, economic\, and environmental priorities\nAvoiding and addressing maladaptation\nAdaptation as an ongoing\, evolving process\n\n\n\n\n\nEnjoy engaging workshops\, hands-on activities\, panels\, and talks focused on climate risks\, adaptation and resilience and approaches\, and case stories across the Atlantic region. You’ll leave with practical tools and resources for building connected resilience as well as a broader network and opportunities for further learning. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCLIMAtlantic works in Atlantic Canada\, which is situated on the unceded and unsurrendered homelands of many Indigenous Peoples\, including the Mi’kmaq\, Wolastoqiyik\, and Peskotomuhkatiyik who are all members of the Wabanaki Confederacy (which also includes Panawahpskewi and Abenaki)\, as well as the Beothuk\, Innu\, and Inuit.
